Many foreign tourists often travel to Japan, because only a few people in Japan can speak English. However, Japan is a great country and the Japanese are wonderful people.


Before buying your ticket to Japan, you should know that Japan is an expensive place to travel. The cost of living is very high. You must have at least 5,000 yen per day for your pocket money. Food is one of the best things about Japan. Japanese food is incredibly delicious. Since Japan is an island, seafood is the most popular food in this country. When you think of Japanese food, you probably think of sushi. Sushi consists of raw fish and rice.


If you have the opportunity, you must visit the Japanese hot bath. It is not something you will see in other countries. The Japanese hot bath is called "Onsen". In some areas, people bathe together in the open area. This is often referred to as "open pit bathing".


Housing is very expensive in Japan. There are too many people in Japan and there are not enough apartments. Most Japanese people cannot afford to own a house. However, travelers can camp in various locations in Japan. Camping is usually safe and inexpensive. The capsule hotel is one of these many inexpensive campsites.

Strange fish from the deep

  Here's an interesting fact: the seahorse, that strange little fish with the head of a seahorse, can seemingly see forward and backward at the same time.
